The 501 is the largest rig in the PAT range and is built only as special customer order to meet special drilling requirements.
It is mounted on a suitable truck of 6500 kg gross vehicle weight (upwards) and is powered by deck mounted diesel engine and has built in foam pump & demountable progressive cavity mud pump.
It uses 3m drill pipe and these are stored in a pipe rack box that is raised from horizontal too vertical when drilling to assist drill pipe handling.
